Coolbinia Lunch & Learn Series
We know parenting (and schooling!) doesn’t come with a manual. That’s why we’ve created Lunch & Learn – monthly live sessions on the topics that matter most to our families. Each session is recorded, so you can catch up on demand, anytime.
We launched the series last year to coincide with ADHD Awareness Month 2024 and you can already explore four on-demand sessions including 10 Tips for ADHD Families and Nutritional Lunchboxes for ADHD (below).
This year we’re kicking off with ADHD Awareness Month 2025 – The Many Faces of ADHD.
Stay tuned for upcoming sessions including cyber security and other topics suggested by you in the Parent Survey conducted in 2024 as well as special guest speakers for ADHD Awareness Month 2025.

“ADHD can make good parenting look bad”
Parents of children with ADHD are often unfairly judged. It is important for parents to have a good understanding of what is happening for their child in order to address what seem to be challenging behaviours. Michele will share information about typical challenges that present in ‘ADHD Families’

Helping children develop essential skills and confidence
Tune in to the replay and listen to Annelie as she outlines the pathway and support available to families and the long-term impact and benefits of early intervention.
Walk away with practical, actionable steps to identify and address developmental, behavioural, or learning challenges.

Annelie Fourie is a proud Coolbinia Primary School mum and a Primary School Teacher working at Coolbinia Primary School. Her family’s journey began 15 years ago when her eldest son was just six months old—she vividly remembers his tiny hand stopping her, his little head shaking “no, no, no,” as he refused to eat his food. If only she knew then what she knows now.
Annelie and her partner are proud parents of two neurodivergent children. Their eldest was diagnosed with ADHD and Oral Dyspraxia at the age of 7. Their youngest has had a more complex journey, facing intermittent hearing loss, Developmental Language Disorder, ADHD at age 3, and, finally, a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Through a lot of support, patience, trial and error—not to mention oceans of tears—they have come as far as they have today. The challenges are ongoing, but so is their growth. Annelie’s message to others is this: get up, dress up, show up, and “face the music” (never give up)!
